The scholarship program at the College of Staten Island recognizes academic excellence and college or community service. In addition to scholarships offered directly by the College, the CSI Foundation, and departments and associations of the College, memorial scholarships have been endowed through the generosity of many individuals and organizations who value higher education. Scholarships support, in varying ways, the education of the men and women of our community.

Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for the College of Staten Island scholarship, current students must:
* Complete the application and provide all supporting documentation.
* Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25.
* Register for and successfully complete 12 or more credits for the fall term and the spring term. Demonstrate school and/or community service.
* Prospective high school applicants must have an average of 90% or above.

To be eligible for the College of Staten Island scholarship, transfer students must:
* Complete the application and provide all supporting documentation.
* Transfer a minimum of 28 credits from previous college(s).
* Maintain a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 3.25.
* Pass the three CUNY Skills Assessment Tests in reading, writing, and mathematics.

How Do I Apply? Can I download the application?
You may download and print out an application in PDF format or visiting South Administration Building 1A, Room 105.

Download the College of Staten Island 2012-2013 Scholarship application.
Submit a completed CSI Scholarship Application accompanied by all supporting documentation before the last business day in April. Supporting documentation includes:
* A personal essay of 500 words as outlined in the application.
* A biographical profile of 250 words as outlined in the application.
* Two letters of recommendation using the scholarship recommendation forms include in the application; one must be from a faculty member or teacher who knows you well; the second may also be from a faculty member/teacher or from someone who is familiar with you from a job, volunteer assignment, or community project you have undertaken. Recommendations from family members will not be accepted.
Volunteer and community service can be supported by an attached certificate and/or a letter from the volunteer or community service coordinator on official stationery.
Applications will be considered complete upon receipt of the CSI Scholarship Application and all supporting materials. First-year and transfer students must request their own transcripts from colleges other than CSI. Official transcripts from CSI students will be requested by the Scholarship Office.
