The David Hay Memorial Fund provides assistance for Science Research Higher Degree
students with the cost of thesis binding expenses. Applications are invited from Master of Philosophy students and from Doctor of Philosophy students from Science Faculty Departments (Botany, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Genetics, Information Systems, Mathematics & Statistics, Optometry & Vision Sciences, Physics and Zoology) who are not holders of APA or MRS awards.
The grant will cover the binding of each student’s thesis up to the value of $150 and will include the embossing on the spine of each copy. Additional copies or extra embossing will be the financial responsibility of the student.
Students who are due to submit their thesis for examination may apply by completing an application form, copies of which are available on the web. Applications are required to be endorsed by the head of department who must certify that an applicant is not a current holder of an APA or MRS award.
