The fellowship is offered subject to available funds to graduates of a University in New Zealand who were born in New Zealand or at the time of application have been resident in New Zealand for a period of seven years or more. (Please check the Canterbury University website to see whether the scholarship is being offered in any given year).
The fellowship is awarded for outstanding merit and promise in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics and will give the fellow an opportunity for further study or research at some institution either in New Zealand or overseas. The value of the fellowship is $20,000 per annum = (tenable for two years) plus annual grants to assist with tuition fees and travel.
