This endowment in honor of Milton L. Barnett was initiated by the generous gift of Siew Nim Chee (Cornell M.I.L.R. 1953). Designed to promote Malaysian studies at Cornell, the endowment provides support for Cornell students, either Malaysians enrolled in Southeast Asian Studies or other students whose focus is on Malaysia.

Eligibility
Students from Malaysia studying at Cornell or American students studying Malaysia are encouraged to submit an application to the Southeast Asia Program. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.

Application Procedure
The application may be submitted via email to the Southeast Asia Program office at SEAP@cornell.edu. The application URL is as below:http://www.einaudi.cornell.edu/southeastasia/funding/pdf/BarnettApp.pdf

Apart from the application components which may be submitted via email, other materials required that must be sent under separate cover via conventional mail services include:
* An official copy of your most recent Cornell University transcript
* A letter of recommendation from your faculty advisor.
