The Graduate Student Council of Marywood University will fund seven $1,000 scholarships for full-time students and six $500 scholarships for part-time students. For this scholarship program, full-time scholarship recipients will be required to take at least nine credits per semester and part-time scholarship recipients will be required to take at least six credits per semester.
The requirements for this scholarship are as follows:
A Marywood University Graduate QPA of 3.50 or greater
Completion of at least 9.0 Marywood University graduate credits by the end of the Spring 2012 semester
Demonstrated financial need
Verifiable volunteer service to the Marywood University or greater community
The Graduate Student Council Scholarship Program applicants elements are to be completed as follows:
Print out the Graduate Student Council Scholarship Program Application and complete the form.
Submit a typed essay, with a maximum of 500 words, that describes in detail your involvement in one altruistic organization or your volunteer service to the Marywood or greater community and how it has affected your life. Please type your name on the essay. Please include the name of the organization and telephone number at the end of your essay for verification purposes.
Your completed scholarship application and essay should be mailed as directed upon the form. Marywood University will accept applications for these scholarships until February 14, 2012.
Please submit the 2012-2013 FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, online to document your financial need.
