2012/2013, White Rose University Consortium Studentships [UK]

Each year the University of York collaborates with the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield to be able to offer a total of 12 studentships – 4 studentships in each of the three Universities. The Universities agree a series of four networks in which they would like to carry out collaborative work. Each network consists of three studentships with one student in each of the three Universities. Students will carry out a project related to the overall network theme and will work closely with the other studentship holders and supervisors.

York White Rose Studentship holders will have a primary supervisor in York and a second supervisor in either of Leeds or Sheffield.

Eligibility:
* In order to be eligible you must:
* Have applied for a place on a full time PhD programme in the relevant Department.
* Have or expect to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent prior to commencing the PhD degree.

Allpication:
Scholarship applications may be submitted online. We are only able to accept scholarship applications from individuals who have already applied for a place on the relevant programme. The deadline for applications is usually 4 pm on 30 April each year (unless otherwise stated), before entry the following October. Please refer to the ‘Eligibility and Availability’ section to verify the specific deadline for a given scholarship. To ensure fairness and transparency we do not accept applications after the deadline.

We will begin accepting scholarship applications for White Rose scholarships once full details have been confirmed, from this date until the closing date applicants will be able to download an application form.

Your application will be logged and you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 weeks of submitting your application please email student-financial-support@york.ac.uk.
